Howling II: ... Your Sister Is a Werewolf 4K 1985

I’ll never be able to convince you that this is a good werewolf movie, because even I find it ridiculous—but you can’t control what your heart feels. I’m a huge fan of *The Werewolf of Styrba*; it’s been a while since I’ve seen such a funny piece of nonsense about fanged creatures. No, the first one is a 100% cult classic! Dante directed a masterpiece in 1980.

The original, with a hairy hand resting on a werewolf’s hairy chest (ha, Z is on a roll), will forever remain one of the best movies where people turned into shaggy wolves. But here we have “The Fright of the Night,” i.e., the sequel. 1984. How many years have passed? That’s right, four. Dante bailed, and Philippe Mora took over. Dee Wallace (my girl) and Adam Sandler’s go-to director bailed, and Sarumyan and Sybil Dunning stepped in.

No need to say anything—just know one thing: Old Man Lee apologized to Dante for agreeing to *Stirba*, ha-ha-ha. You see, it’s all over. Although he’s the most sane character in the movie, if you really think about it. What’s most striking is how this movie was shot.

Look at the editing—it’s a circus. Look at the cinematography—it’s a circus. What’s the point of shoving people with fake fangs right in the camera’s face? Mora—you’re killing me, man. It’s laugh-out-loud funny. I get that you’re short on cash, but you had Dante backing you up.
Even now, his werewolves look decent (well, more or less). Mora’s werewolves, on the other hand, are just pure trash. He doesn’t know how to cover up and hide the flaws, so the movie turns into a trashy mess.

The plot isn’t the worst; it’s standard—a group of good guys decides to battle werewolves in Transylvania (forget about vampires and Dracula). Why on earth did they have to insert scenes with characters from the original when they could’ve just left everything off-screen and explained it with dialogue? That’s just my personal gripe.

Dunning shows off her boobs and butt here. Yeees, you’re right, that was one of the reasons to bump this review up to a green rating, ha-ha-ha. I love her—she’s a cool girl. She even put on some glasses—chic. By the way, she spent more than half the movie lounging half-naked on the bed, ha-ha-ha.

Guys, I guarantee you won’t find another movie like this. The Great Stirba has awakened from hibernation! What’s the first thing the great evil does? Make plans to take over the world? Not a chance—it’s having sex. Damn, Mora has really pushed the boundaries of nonsense so far that his movies are starting to grow on you. One of the female characters says she’s supposedly feeling sick. Another bedroom scene—ah-ha-ha. So ’80s, so ’80s.

The werewolves run on two legs—that’s a plus. There’s plenty of blood, but it’s used sparingly. Lots of debauchery and vulgarity.
If this movie came out today—I’d douse it with gasoline and burn it. But as it is—it’s a trash classic. I won’t be recommending it to anyone, but if there’s even one person out there who enjoyed all this nonsense, I’ll be very happy. Frankly speaking, it’s far from the worst entry in the “Howling” franchise. The seventh installment was worse.
