Maime Denis is an eccentric and flighty woman whose life revolves around parties, dating, and enjoying life to the fullest. After her brother’s death, she becomes the sole relative of her nephew Patrick, whom she ends up raising.

At first glance, Maime seems like a reckless wild child, but it turns out she’s also a sensitive and loving woman.

This wonderful comedy, adapted from Patrick Denis’s semi-autobiographical play, enjoyed immense popularity upon its release. And it’s no wonder—Rosalind Russell simply radiated positivity throughout the entire film.
