Shane 54 can take on anyone!
You know, I BELIEVED in that motto. You won’t believe HOW captivated I was by that movie—it shook a simple young kid from the countryside to the core. I looked at that glittering, unimaginably alluring world of the club—mesmerizing in its insincerity—and wanted to get in there alongside the bright, handsome, white-toothed, and outrageously young Shane.

And I didn’t care one bit about the scandals, intrigues, and investigations surrounding that world-famous club. I didn’t even know how famous this club was! It was the first time I’d heard its name! And, funny to think about now, I kept forgetting—what was that number in the name again? Yes, I understand that the club is famous; I understand that it has attracted many people, but I’m not one of them.

I’m one of those people who, upon first seeing the curly-haired god with a modest smile—the kind that brings tears of tenderness to your eyes—fell into an eternal and irresistible addiction to his beautiful eyes, just like the drugs that are a dime a dozen in this movie. And not just the drugs, but also the booze and the sex. Who could possibly remain indifferent to that?!

The entire film, in my humble opinion, is nothing more than an overt advertisement for the main character—or, more precisely, the actor playing that character. Ryan Phillippe is simply divinely beautiful here! There isn’t a single other movie in which he’s as good as he is here. From the moment he cuts his long hair at the very beginning all the way to the end, he shamelessly shows off his body: in the scene where he publicly rips off his striped shirt, on Christmas in jeans and fur-lined boots with his glitter-dusted torso bathed in blue light, and many, many more times—watch and enjoy!
