There are directors whose films you always expect, and they do not disappoint. Clint Eastwood is one of them.
'Men's Tears' is another high-quality picture in the piggy bank of the eminent director.
The film is not replete with unexpected plot twists, there is no action here, it is just a film about life and about people. The story is simple but sincere. This is exactly what Clint's films catch on.
I noticed a similarity with his previous film 'Drug Courier' in terms of Mexican flavor. Eastwood seems to like the culture and people of Mexico.
Here, there is even more Latin American flavor: everywhere there is Spanish speech, sultry Mexican women, and endless prairies along which an old truck with the main characters is driving. On the way, there are both pleasant and unpleasant meetings.
Michael (Eastwood's character) and Rafa (the chief's son) gradually get to know each other, talk about their past and plans for the future. Rafa is interested in horses, and Michael is a former cowboy and can teach how to interact with animals. And so both characters find their meaning in life. And, of course, they make friends: the owner of the cafe and her family. And life is more fun with friends.
I would also like to mention the beautiful Spanish music, which creates the right atmosphere. And yes, Clint Eastwood is dancing!
