New York at night has more than once become an informal protagonist of the plots - in epic melodramas, in horror and crime films, this time the city will have to become the arena of police pursuit of two criminals. The film begins at a fairly fast pace - a ten-minute shootout of two former military men in a wine cellar when they steal fifty kilograms of pure cocaine ends deplorably for eight police officers who were nearby.
The entire leadership of the city's law enforcement agencies is "on the ears", and the uncompromising detective Andre Davis, whose father was also an impeccable police officer in the past, is now taking on the cause, and now all hopes are that the capture of criminals will end before dawn. But for this you need to block the island of Manhattan, connected to the rest of the big New York twenty-one bridge.
The story accompanies the viewer through the night quarters of New York - just like an encyclopedia of the criminal world of the city, where criminals try to sell a large shipment of drugs, launder dirty money - and everything needs to be done in conditions where they have almost all the city's police and principal detective on their tail. It is worth noting that the tape looks in one breath, even if the main mystery of the story is already becoming closer to the equator of the film, this does not spoil further impressions of watching the film.
In terms of directing to Brian, Kirk has nothing to show - his tape is at a decent level, and given that "21 Bridge" does not claim to be anything more than an entertaining performance, the film's script for this genre is of acceptable quality. Among the actors, I would like to single out Taylor Kitsch, even though he received far from the most important role in history, but his character has some memorable charisma.
As a result, it's quite suitable for a one-time movie viewing, without innovations and ambitions, but with a suitable atmosphere and content in front of the viewer who is looking for a quality police action movie at his leisure.
If you like horror movies then you must watch this movie Prince of darkness 4k.
