The new cinema 'Paradiso' is an absolutely cinematic cinema, in which the director reflects, nostalgic and simply tells everyone about his favorite craft. A film in which not the theme of cinema is the background for the main characters, but the main characters serve as a circumstance for the story of cinema. And the image of the cinema 'Paradiso' from the title of the tape is the image of the entire Golden Age of Hollywood.
Giuseppe Tornatore shot a naive and obviously flirtatious (by the way, quite successfully) with academics and viewers of the movie, the moves in which are read, the characters are stenciled, and the dialogues can be continued for the characters. And the metaphors used in the film are so obvious ... But so vivid! Take, for example, the episode in which Alfredo tells Toto that he needs to leave his hometown in order not to get bogged down in routine and hopelessness. But where is their conversation going? In the 'graveyard' of anchors that will never move anywhere.
Emotions are what I watch movies for, so the sincerity and simplicity with which the director tells the story of love, growing up and friendship, immediately resonate in me: I feel a connection with this film, I see myself in it.
