For the first time in my memory, I am warned right at the beginning of the film that there will be a scene after the credits.
The rumbling of the Earth. Walking giants are coming. They trample houses and forests, shake mountains, and people disappear forever under their feet. Some try to run. Some even manage to escape. But the giants are huge and completely ruthless. They spare neither women, nor the elderly, nor children. After they pass, the earth resembles what remains after a nuclear strike.
This is not a retelling of the original story. But we can glean brief, even the briefest, general information about it here. There also seems to be additional material here that we haven't seen before. Although I don't really remember anything, only fragments.
These are emotions and someone's view of the past, present, and... the euphoria of life and death. Attempts to understand what is happening, a war within the human mind, where a person tries to justify their inhuman actions, establish an unambiguous good and evil, the boundaries of darkness and light, contradictory attempts... Good through evil. Evil as the flip side of good - one coin of life.
Since we have the finale of the story, there will, of course, be a lot of pain, loss, and memories. And, of course, something otherworldly, supernatural... A lot of bitterness, loss, beautiful shots, a certain warmth, the beauty of music, all kinds of battles.
Not a bad return to bloody Narnia. But I'm not a big fan of the series. Otherwise, I still want to end the story here and not return to it anymore.
