Sound City 2013

Dave Grohl's documentary about the history of the Los Angeles studio Sound City. Grohl got the idea to make the movie in 2011, after Sound City Studios closed down in Van Nuys, California. He bought a Neve console at a studio equipment sale, which had been used to record Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Guns N' Roses, Rage Against the Machine and many other legendary bands (Nirvana's iconic Nevermind album is one of them).
