Another collaboration between martial arts master Scott Adkins and director Jesse Johnson is 'Vengeance'. But this time, the character of Scott Adkins appears in a more dramatic way, and the film itself is more related to the crime genre.
According to the plot, after leaving prison, the hero of Scott Adkins begins to take revenge on all those who were involved in this and, through whose fault, he turned into an insensitive person, eager to constantly fight and kill.
In any film, Scott demonstrates his fighting skills and good choreography, and this film is no exception, but now he goes deeper into the acting component and shows emotions, I also liked how the transformation of Adkins' hero was demonstrated, how he ended up in prison, what was his relationship with his brother, from where such scars appeared on his face and, most importantly, what made him become such a beast.
The fights in the film are mostly hand-to-hand and they are delivered quite realistically, I also note the very brutal and tough side of hand-to-hand fights, especially in prison, so I pay tribute to the work of the operator and the editing. Scott also demonstrated his facial expressions and emotions very well, it is not surprising why the film emphasized his knocked out front teeth and the insertion of new teeth, thereby giving more realism to his acting.
