The Shawshank Redemption 4K 1994

The first time I watched this film on TV, I was a schoolboy and did my homework for this film, lying on the floor at the weekend. Usually I included some kind of 'chatter' in the background so that it would not be boring. I didn't really focus on what was happening. But as now, I remember that the 'Shawshank Redemption' lured me from the first minutes and made me postpone my lessons for a couple of hours. Then I just liked the atmosphere of what was happening and the action that took place on the screen. I didn't go into details too much. Having revisited, already at a more conscious age, I just fell in love with this film. This is not just a popular and beautiful movie, it is real art, a philosophical work. I will say right away that I have not read the book, therefore I cannot compare. I appreciate only the film.

The film takes place in a prison. Moreover, this prison is of a very special regime. The atmosphere that is happening around, the people - all this is very depressing for the viewer. Anyone would break, but not our hero.

Andy Dyuferein is really not like everyone else, he is from a different text. It would seem that in such a simple and seemingly weak person, there is so much strength, endurance and courage. This is, in my opinion, the main message of this work. Take courage, be strong, go to your goal without missing out and you will have everything. Of course, Andy is a living person, he also experiences emotions, fears and worries. But his thoughts are not with us, they are focused on the goal. Moreover, the viewer does not notice this immediately. Dufrein is also strong in that he is one of those people who do not lose their face, remain kind and decent to others no matter what. I believe that there is a certain kind of strength in this, too.

The moral is extremely simple, someone thinks that this film is about inner freedom, someone thinks that it is about friendship and all this is correct. However, I believe that this film is about the boundless power of man - about the inner core, the craving for the light and noble. With this strength, we are virtually invulnerable. Go to your goal no matter what, without losing nobility and sober reason.
