Great movie! He is completely timeless. It looks now as if it was only released yesterday. You can watch the entire movie or individual episodes many times - you won't get bored! Despite the fact that this is a musical, the film perfectly conveys the Dickensian spirit of "good old England".
Rhythmic music, some kind of "elastic", easy to remember, permeated with optimism!
The choreography, as far as it can be shown in the film, is at the highest level.
The theatricality brought into the film according to the laws of the musical genre, some simplification and change of the plot in comparison with the original, only adorn the film, because it is done with talent.
In scenes with the participation of children, you are simply amazed with what pleasure, passion and spontaneity they behave in front of the camera. Precisely because they play, as children play, and do not play, as actors play!
The performance of Oscar-winning Ron Moody as Fagin is beyond praise! Here you just have to watch: plastic, dancing, dramatic play, humor, intelligent expressive deep look ...!
The other actors are great too, especially the cast of Nancy and Dodger.
For myself, I put this film in the top three musical films "of all times and peoples" (other films "The Big Waltz" and "My Fair Lady").
