I confess to my shame that this is the first David Fincher film that I have seen.
I had low expectations from this project. The reason for watching was only a recommendation from one video blogger who compiled the top films with Andrew Garfield, but from the first minutes this picture began to draw me in. A person who is infinitely far from the world of technology was given a clear explanation of what was happening on the screen.
An interesting step on the part of the director was to shoot the film exclusively in dim colors or dim light. No one had ever shown Harvard so boring before. Guess the creators and with the leading actor Mark Zuckerberg, Jesse Eisenberg may well compete with Benedict Cumberbatch in the speed of pronunciation of dialogues. Of course, the main character in the film turned out to be very far from the original prototype and it is difficult to write down in the cons of the tape, but for a film that positions itself as a biographical film, this is not forgivable. The protagonist's friend Eduardo Saverin turned out to be a very emotional character. In fact, the whole plot is built around the conflict of these two. Judicial battles heat up the intrigue and make you wait for an answer to the main question that torments the viewer. Closer to the end of the film, Justin Timberlake appears, he incarnates the devil. All the scenes of his hero illustrate the entire vicious world of Silicon Valley and its inhabitants. As you already understood in your review, I praise everyone who took part in the creation of this film. Of course, it has a number of disadvantages, for example, the identity of one of the programmers, namely Dustin Moskowitz, is completely undisclosed. Why was this hero led, if the director did not reveal it to me, it is not entirely clear to me. It is impossible not to pay attention to two more heroes, played by one insanely talented actor Armie Hammer. We are talking about Cameron and Tyler, whose twins, whose aspirations to always be the first, deprive them of the right to such a high title as gentlemen, this is in one of the lines that the character himself noticed.
As a result, the film is not at all about financial success and lust for money. It is about the loneliness of a person.
