Carlito's Way is an unforgettable movie, a must-see movie if you have a liking for gangster films.
The magnificent Al Pacino as Charlie 'Carlito' Brigante and, in this film, the even more virtuoso Sean Penn as Dave Kleinfield (by the way, in the infamous GTA Vice City, the image of a lawyer is exactly copied from the character of Sean) play simply on the verge of fantasy.
After watching, I can assure you that you will want to watch some scenes from the film over and over again, especially the billiards scene on the ship, the amazing hospital scene, and finally the final chase.
The tension that the viewer experiences from the final part of the film is downright monstrous - you watch the scene literally on the edge of the chair, squeezing your hands and with all your heart worrying about the character of Al Pacino.
Brian De Palma once again managed to please the viewer with a truly high-quality film, with an interesting storyline, vivid characters and dynamics that many films of this genre lack.
