A great psychological thriller. A very strong movie about not the best women and men. It's more about women and how rudely they manipulate the men around them to fulfill their own desires and selfish whims. A hard and cautionary tale, but it has nothing to do with family. Perhaps someone will consider these ladies to be perky and shallow, witty chatterboxes, imitating the behavior of shallow men who do not put their finger in their mouth - will bite it off, someone will admire their 'devotion' to motherhood, but it is from mindless female obsession, from vulgar lies, elevated to truth, there is an unbearable evil for all, innocent blood is spilled. The paradox is that there are men who love women monsters, or with a sense of masculine duty to protect a woman, fulfill her treacherous desires, even commit crimes, satisfying her insatiable thirst for superiority.
The movie has a wonderful acting show. Cute Lesley Manville (Blanche Weboy) amazingly fit into the role of an abusive mother and grandmother, and the charming Diane Lane created a stunning image of a wife-crazy. The duet of Diane Lane (Margaret Blackledge) and Kevin Costner (George Blackledge) is played to all the notes of the thriller genre. Bravo to director Thomas Bezuche ! Goosebumps will go down your spine and cold fear may stiffen the heart of the sensitive viewer. Do not forget that this is a thriller.
I will also note the beautiful makeup, costumes, editing, the work of the artist and set designer, script and camerawork. Kudos to all!
