Summer of 84 4K 2018

"Summer of 84" is a good detective story, filmed in the style of the 80s, the main characters of which are ordinary teenagers. According to the plot, children begin to disappear in a small town. Four friends-schoolchildren suspect a local policeman, but they cannot prove his involvement in the abductions, so they decide on a serious hunt for a suspicious neighbor, who is a respected person for all residents.

Without modesty, we can say that the filmmakers took the liberty to shoot a story in the best traditions of the beloved TV series Stranger Things, only this time there was no mysticism or horror, although, of course, there is an atmosphere of growing suspense. The first half of the film is generally more like a simple children's film without any special reference to an adult plot, but then events change, emotions intensify and serious interest awakens. Closer to the end, the story turns into a real thriller, although everything is done carefully and carefully, but already in the very finale there is no mercy or pity. Immediately it is worth noting an unexpected plot course in the final part of the story. Not so often you can see something like this, but thanks to the originality of everything that happens after viewing, a pleasant and at the same time unusual impression remains, which distinguishes this story from many similar paintings. The style of the production almost completely copies the well-known series, starting with the credits and ending with everything else, but this does not interfere with viewing at all, although the first half of the film does not cause much enthusiasm, but the finale definitely stretches the entire project and covers any errors. In general, the film is definitely suitable for viewing. Personally, I liked everything, and I do not regret the time spent. Happy viewing.
