Suffice it to say that Episode 1 is about young Anakin Skywalker (later Darth Vader - one of the most menacing movie villains). Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn discovered this accidentally when he had to make an emergency landing on an abandoned desert planet during a mission with his student Obi-Wan Kenobi. The possible dangers of discovering Anakin Skywalker are only hinted at in this episode. His real change only begins gradually in Episode 2 - Attack of the Clones. Star Wars Episode 1 is often called too cheerful, too colorful and too family-friendly. In some cases there is something to be said about these claims. This movie starring Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, and Natalie Portman is a must for Star Wars fans, for completeness alone. Nevertheless, the film is technically and visually not a hit. It is the only Star Wars film that is released for ages 6 and up and you can tell. Unfortunately. Enjoy now without waiting in 4K Blu-ray and Dolby Atmos!
