And what to say about a film that is universally regarded as the best and still unbeaten achievement in the world of cinema. And here, perhaps, I have to sign off on every word. And if the first part of Dad, as well as the movie 'Scarface' are the peaks of the Everest, then the second part of Dad is definitely the very tip of it.
However, it is worth noting: from the first viewing it is impossible to understand what is so good about this film product. Some people don't even want to watch it again. And it's really so, the 'Godfather' dilation should be watched very thoughtfully and tunefully. Only then you can see that once upon a time movies were made without blemishes, without bloopers, without cliches, and from the usual dialogue characters (which often last an obscenely long time) it was impossible to take your eyes off. After all, even now, these dialogues more than supersede any over-the-top scenes of current blockbusters.
Here, every gesture, every phrase, every look and turn of the head - everything matters, and every moment of the movie carries an emotional and semantic charge. Here the plot develops slowly and unhurriedly, but does not have a single boring or tedious scene. Here the actors, all as selected, play with brilliance and sparkle (a young Al Pacino is especially good). It's where shots of city panoramas, office interiors, landscapes, costumes, hairstyles, etc. stick in your memory almost forever. And this is where the soundtrack cuts to the core and fits perfectly in every frame.
This is a film legend that will surely never leave its pedestal. You find something new in it every time you watch it, and for some unknown reason you want to rewatch it countless times.
