A family of hunters (father, mother, and daughter) lives in the middle of nowhere and hunts animals. At one point, a lone wolf appears in the vicinity of their home, destroying their prey in traps. Father and daughter go hunting, but not only wolves can roam in the woods, but also a scarier beast - man...
Pros: the constant build-up of the atmosphere by means of a rather gloomy background; unexpected twists in the plot; an original and peculiar ending.
On the downsides: the lack of logic in the actions of adult family members (for example: the father does not call and call the police, does not tell his wife about what he found in the woods); they are little like a family of hunters, and even living in the woods; the mother, who on any occasion asks her daughter the order of cutting the animals and scaring wolves with a very cool view is running through the woods with a rifle, etc. There is no sense even to write about the local policemen who only write out fines and clean up dead skunks - how unprepared they are for life in a forest backwater and look obviously not in their place...
For all its absurdity and rather sluggish plot development, the film as a whole left a good impression.
