Today I managed to see a picture at the press screening. It was AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME. I could write this word 1000 more times, but it probably can't describe the whole delight of watching a movie. With such a terrific cast, Stallone's task as a director was considerably simplified, he just had to make a competent action (and we knew from 'Rambo' that he could do it) and tell a clear, albeit simple story.
On the final result it is worth saying - Stallone not just fulfilled this minimum, but ten times exceeded the task. A sea of explosive, dynamic, reckless action, great jokes, and of course fantastic performances of the actors. What particularly pleased, so it is a competent distribution of functions between the stars, ie they are here collected not to show how cool we are that we were able to unite such people, and each has its own clearly defined role. The fights Lundgren vs. Lee, Austin vs. Stallone, Daniels vs. Lee, Austin vs. Couture, Statham, single-handedly knocking out dozens of enemies all this is simply delightful. Even Terry Crews, who the whole movie was not noticeable, at the end of the picture also got his moment of glory, playing a very prominent role in the final mess. And of course Sly is at the head of the gang. He's awesome, unrealistically awesome. That's all I can say. I don't even know what was cooler, action scenes with his participation or dialog in the temple with Schwarzenegger. By the way, during the whole episode the whole audience gave him a standing ovation, you'll see why.
