About 11 years ago I saw the movie 'Drive' for the first time.
It was the first time I saw the movie, but it was by no means the last. Mark Dacascos was quite popular in the '90s and I think the movie "Drive" is one of the best of his career. Mark plays the semi-humanoid in the movie well. Unwavering eagle eye, crisp and deft movements, arms and legs - smashing with unprecedented speed. It all looks beautiful and naturalistic.
Kadeem Hardison played it well. This kind of role of the Negro hitchhiker, who has nothing to do with anything, brings a smile to the viewer's face. As for the female character played by Brittany Murphy, I probably liked it best. A crazy girl who is crazy about all of Toby's moves, which make her opponent faint from the numerous blows he receives to various parts of his body. Most memorable is her trait. when after another opponent has entered the room she starts cheering Toby on like a boxing tournament: 'Toby! Toby! Toby! ; this moment I still remember with a smile.
To say that the plot is flawless, I certainly can't. It's a little naive, a little silly, but when there's so much fighting, humor and explosions should you really pay attention to the plot in a movie like this? Of course not.
'Drive' One of those action movies where the characters on the opposite side are always stronger but still lose. These kinds of movies used to be popular and I'm glad they were and remain in memory as quality movies. For 1997 it was a great movie and strangely enough it still looks pretty good; so I recommend you to watch it at least once, but watch it.
