Enjoy it... Now that Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) escaped from the maximum-security prison seven years ago, he can enjoy life in all its forms. Beef, pork or human. Director Ridley Scott delivers a sequel to Jonathan Demme's film in 2001, Julianne Moore replaces Jodie Foster, only Anthony Hopkins remains... A pretty solid sequel to "The Silence of the Lambs". The story as a whole is told quite neatly and is quite entertaining to look at, but it lacks that certain something that had made "The Silence of the Lambs" so special. Atmospheric, however, the film can fully convince and impresses above all with the detailed surroundings and great features. Actually, "Hannibal" is at a good level, although Julianne Moore copes well with her role as Clarice Starling, she can't match the class of Jodie Foster. Anthony Hopkin's appearance does not match the intensity of his previous role this time either, but this is less due to his performance (he has already shown how well he can play the role), but more to the somewhat simpler interpretation of his role. 4K Blu-ray and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 (48kHz, 24-bit) available.
