It's an amazing movie. The first time I saw 'The Highway' on TV (I was seven years old) it was love at first sight. The wonderful cast, the brilliant script, the superb direction by Matthew Bright (I advise all fans of the film to see 'The Forbidden Zone' where Bright served as writer and actor), the magnificent music by Danny Elfman - all together create one of the greatest creations of nineties cinema. Loudly put? Don't believe it? Check it out and see for yourself!
It was with this movie that the rise of the wonderful actress Reese Witherspoon began. In my opinion, this is her brightest role to date. Kiefer Sutherland did a great job as Bob Wolverton - this is probably one of his best characters.
The script is great - there are no words. Anyone who has ever heard Danny Elfman's music will realize that comments here are pointless - it is perfect. Well, the dithyramb has been sung! I wish you an enjoyable viewing experience!
