The film is somewhat primitive in its presentation of the story. The actors play unconvincingly. They show military equipment every chance they get, with footage from military chronicles. The poor kid, the hero of the movie, is always hanging around with the military and scientists. And the adults, instead of putting the boy in a safe place constantly drag him along. The alien invaders in rag-tag monster costumes look funny. The main alien villain's makeup looks like Oleg Tabakov's appearance as Kashchei from the movie 'On Golden Porch Sitting. Naively look shots where hapless warriors give the alien gun to shoot the boy. Still, the movie is not bad. A bedtime story from Ed Wood.
