The Slumber Party Massacre" is a quite successful and interesting '80s slasher. The plot of the movie is simple: a certain maniac starts killing guys and girls.
The movie liked the dynamics, the viewer will not get bored. In the first minutes there are two victims at once and during the whole movie the massacre does not stop, the number of corpses increases rapidly. The main instrument of murder is a drill, it does not look as ominous as the legendary chainsaw, but nevertheless it sheds blood and by all means it sheds blood. Speaking of blood, there is quite a lot of it, and the victims are mutilated rather brutally, for example the pizza delivery man.
The acting is at the level, especially Michael Villella who played the role of the maniac played well and convincingly. The music in the movie is atmospheric and creepy and I liked it.
The downside of the movie is the maniac himself. He is not vulnerable, having received several deadly wounds, he continues to actively attack the heroes. The personality of Russ Thorne is also poorly covered, only a few words are said about him. I think that the escape scene of the murderer from the mental hospital could have been filmed.
