In terms of production, '12 Angry Men' is a unique phenomenon. To make a movie in which the action takes place in one room and at the same time is virtually reduced to just continuous dialogue - it is not possible for everyone. The strength of the film lies in the fact that it raises an important and difficult problem - the problem of callousness of a man in relation to the people around him, not wanting to understand other people's problems. As the proverb says, "My house is on the edge, I don't know anything. The second problem is a prejudiced attitude towards the people around us.
The plot of the movie is simple - 12 jurors must decide the fate of a guy who allegedly stabbed his father to death. They all want to hurry up and get it over with and go home. The prosecutor manages to convince them that the boy is guilty, and so they prepare with a clear conscience to send him to the electric chair.
But one of them is against it. He doesn't know whether the kid is guilty or not. He's just not sure, so he proposes that they just talk. In fact, the whole movie, they will talk, they will do investigative experiments, they will argue, they will argue. They will want to find the truth. Not everyone will at first, but gradually the number of truth-seekers will increase.
A movie of emotion, quality, with meaning, with an idea, with excellent acting. This movie is not meant to be simply entertaining, but it is by no means a tedious drama. The film is like a theatrical production. It does have an impact on the viewer and can teach him or her something, if only the viewer is willing to learn.
