The movie develops events in an interesting way. If the beginning passes leisurely as a psychological thriller: a mysterious place, constant visions, nightmarish dreams plus all the events develop in a psychiatric hospital. Then the picture sharply jumps to zombie-horror: the appearance of zombies, respectively, it contributes to the appearance of thrash scenes and other bloody delights: killing with holy water, which like acid corrodes the flesh, twisting the head, as well as frequent flickering of brains. Such a mishmash, I think not everyone will be to everyone's taste, but if you get hooked, you won't let go until the end. I liked the idea of how to present the appearance of zombies in the movie. The idea is not brilliant, but it is not banal either. There is tainted earth and predisposition to evil, as well as an evil doctor (who himself should be treated) conducting experiments on patients. Yes, such an asylum is clearly not conducive to recovery.
One can complain that the movie is confusing. The story of the appearance of the evil doctor and his zombies, what his goals were, and how exactly he spawned these zombies. The movie only hints, giving the viewer a vague picture, in other words, I did not get the whole idea about the appearance of zombies and the relationship of the evil doctor with them. I also would have liked to know more about Jane's past. But these details, perhaps, can be attributed to minor errors.
The play of actors liked, but not more, in this respect everything is done at a decent level. Among the familiar faces (seen by me before in some movies) was only the director of the hospital played by Jeremy Slate. The rest of the actors I have not seen before, and the director is familiar to me only from the movie "The Lawnmower Man" at the moment. It says that people tried hard, having not much experience to make such a bloody cocktail it is only to their credit. I can't say anything bad about the music either, I can't remember it, so it didn't distract me from watching it and it was always in place in other words and here too everything is done competently.
In general, there was an unusual bloody - mishmash, starting as a mystical thriller the movie grows into a zombie horror. Having a great idea and generally well embodied in the plot, the picture contains some understatement, but this is only a minor error, which does not spoil the overall positive view of the movie. This product can be recommended to fans of "living dead" and fans of horror in general. I liked the movie very much.
