Everything that we followed, that we hoped to see, find, feel in Harry Potter, Chronicles of Narnia, all this we will unexpectedly find here, in the kingdom of Stormhold. There is no epic, elaborate, gigantic world like an ocean into which you can dive and never return - the tale of 'Stardust' is like swimming in a refreshing mountain stream under the morning sun. There is no excessive childish naivety here - this is a fairy tale for adults. There is no 'Ivan-Durak' here, and no one gets a free stick and innate ability to do whatever he wants, the characters grow and develop, and this adds to the beauty and fascination of the Tale. The Tale is first and foremost about people, their scary, strange, funny, kind and many other sides.
Completely unusual beginning will whirl us, the plot is built so that the movie is watched in one breath, and the key dialogues seem to stop time, the denouement is both ozhdiayem and unexpected.
This is one of those rare films that you watch and suddenly realize that the authors have already done everything as it should be done, and it remains only to watch, relax and enjoy - mind and soul.
