The secret to a good movie is very simple! A good script + a couple or three of the best actors. If we don't guess how much time and through what difficulties the director went through - then it's definitely a good work. Everything should be simple and natural and no numbers! Who will be interested in: how much money was spent on the fire scene, how many days they shot the scene in pajamas, and how many eggs were fried in the movie? It doesn't matter at all if Cary Grant and Gene Arthur are in the lead roles!
The plot is engrossing to the point where you're afraid to blink and miss something. The wonderful piquancy of the situation - two men and one woman under a roof! No one will guess who she will stay with (the finale is satisfying). Nascent friendship between two different personalities - a law professor and an escaped criminal, this is perhaps the main branch of this interesting plot. And there will be blows to the head, and trust, and the main dignity of the professor (beard).
But of course, the jewel of the whole movie is the character of Nora Shelley. The actress Jean Arthur always has the same character: a sweet, unsuited to life girl who tries to accomplish something or save.... And yet - in all the movies Jean Arthur in the decisive moment is capable of - Deed, she fights and inspires faith (although she looks like a little kitten fighting with soap bubbles).
And Cary Grant once again demonstrates his comedic talent! And how does he manage to be funny and yet - handsome tall brunet? After all, the actor - amusing the public, turns into a clown and he is not seen by men ... Maybe I'm wrong, but the fact that Cary Grant is the only one of its kind - everyone will agree.
