An excellent comedy that will appeal to anyone who loved the first three American Pie films.
Despite the huge number of successful (Eurotrip) and unsuccessful imitators that have appeared since Road Trip was released, for me, Road Trip is still the benchmark among comedies on the theme of “teenagers traveling long distances and getting into funny situations.” In none of the other films of this kind have I seen such a quantity and variety of funny situations (without being fixated on the theme of sex): the mistake with the video cassette, the jump over the bridge, the ‘hungry’ boa constrictor, Boston/Austin, ... Although there were a couple of flat jokes (the scene with the croutons could have been cut out altogether - the film would not have lost anything).
The actors also perform excellently, helping to make the story believable—all the events that happen to the characters could very well have happened in real life. After watching it for the first time, I even wanted to take a ride with my friends on the school bus from the film—that's how much fun it all looks in Road Trip!
