It's always difficult to talk about films you watched in your youth and even then understood that they weren't masterpieces and wouldn't become cult classics. However, both then and now, the second Deathstalker film captivates with what can be described simply as “fan appeal.” Everyone who participated in the filming enjoyed this work (I highly recommend watching the outtakes at the end of the film), and this is conveyed to the viewer. The filmmakers removed the excessive seriousness that was present in the first part, which only benefited the film. An hour and a half of swashbuckling adventures will fly by quickly, and there's really no point in nitpicking about things like the script, special effects, or makeup. Did you really expect that from Deathstalker 2?
John Terleski did not play any notable roles after that, but he became a good director of TV series, Monique Gabriel moved on to “adult” cinema and even founded her own studio... But all that will happen later, in the distant 21st century. For now, sit back in your chair and press play. Deathstalker leads the princess by the hand—the adventure begins!
