You can scold me and curse me, but after reading rave reviews about the sequel to one of the most sophisticated horror movies of recent times, I couldn't wait until January...
I'll say right away that the plot is so cleverly twisted that after 10 minutes of watching, you completely forget about the poor quality of the video material. Yes, there is a lot more blood, the main characters are more vivid, their motives are more obvious, and the devices and techniques used to kill the players have become more inventive.
I should note right away that this horror film is not for the faint of heart, even though there are practically no sudden movements accompanied by characteristic sounds. The horror lies in the realism of what is happening and the complete sense of hopelessness.
Nevertheless, the main reward for viewers who manage to stay in the theater until the end, as in the original, is the unpredictable ending. Yes, it turned out to be slightly less effective than the first Saw, but after watching it, you are still left with the amazing feeling of how cleverly the filmmakers led us through the plot traps they had set.
As was the case a year ago, I can say that I do not see the need for a continuation of the story. The third part can only be saved by a perfect script, completely devoid of plot holes, of which there are quite a few in both films of the franchise.
