I watched two film adaptations of the novel Evil Under the Sun. One with David Suchet and this one with Peter Ustinov. I liked this version of Agatha Christie's novel better. First, the acting in this film is much better than in the film with David Suchet. Secondly, the sets and scenery are better; this film seems more colorful than the one with Suchet. Thirdly, I think that the actors in this film are more suited to their characters from an external point of view (with the exception of Hercule Poirot himself). For example, the heroine of the film, Aline Marshall, is not as attractive in the film with David Suchet as she is in the film with Ustinov. The only thing that makes that film better than this one is Hercule Poirot. I don't want to say that I didn't like Peter Ustinov's performance, it's just that David Suchet is better suited to the role. Besides, Suchet seemed more elegant and less arrogant to me than Ustinov.
