New action movie starring Liam Neeson. And what is surprising is that this is not just another fairly typical crime story. Before us first unfolds a harsh drama about the life of North American miners and truckers. Neeson's character here is just a very good, but already middle-aged driver with extensive experience, including driving on ice tracks (we usually call them "winter roads").
An accident occurs at a remote mine, several dozen miners are buried alive underground. And it is urgent to deliver equipment to eliminate the consequences of the disaster. The plane cannot land there, and the helicopter cannot hold such a huge load. So a group of volunteer drivers is being assembled. Drivers of heavy long vehicles. And part of the path will pass along lakes and rivers, and even along, as I understand it, the ice of the frozen bay. And they drove off.
Yes, there was once a classic story in cinematography with a similar big trip. Only there the guys drove trucks with nitroglycerin ...
Ice Drive is a good movie. Very good. It, like its inanimate heroes - steel "horses", rushes without slowing down. Neeson is very good. Dusheven and L. Fishburne. Well, the embodiment of human evil is shown here too perfectly.
If you want to, you can also find here a reference to the newfangled Hollywood agenda - in the person of a driver and an irrepressible activist from the local Cree tribe. But in this case, I don't want to delve into all this at all.
So, the pluses of the picture are great characters, beautiful views of nature, drive and action. Well, actually Neeson himself.
