I wanted to write a review of the movie, but suddenly realized I was late. So, this is not a review, but rather an obituary dedicated to the memory of Heath Ledger.
We realize who we have lost, unfortunately too late. It's inherent in human nature. we circle and circle around the house, around life, from day to day, from event to event, and a lot of things just pass us by. And our world grows duller and more colorless every year.
So, we all just need little miracles like 'A Knight's Tale'. This is a light and colorful movie 'for the soul'. Absolutely wrong from a historical point of view, but it does not repel at all, but on the contrary, gives the picture a special charm. Most of the credit goes to the director and screenwriter Brian Helgeland. Although, as a screenwriter he is certainly more talented. He managed to convey to the viewer in a simple and unobtrusive form 'matters of bygone days'.
Paul Bettany, who brilliantly mocked Jeffrey Chaucer throughout the movie, also deserves a special mention.
This movie can be talked about endlessly, although its main merit is that it became a key moment in the career of Heath Ledger and helped him ' to get a star from the sky '. What his on-screen character Will dreamed of. A star that suddenly, quite unexpectedly and tragically rolled away.
