It has been 18 years since this film was released, and many have forgotten about it, while some have simply not seen it or are unaware of its existence, but in the hearts of fans of the turtles' adventures, this film will remain forever.
The film is based on the famous 1980s comic book by self-taught artists Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird about four mutant turtle brothers and their mentor, the mutant rat Splinter, who possessed ninja skills. As in all superhero stories, there is a main villain in the form of a cruel tyrant named Oroku Saki (Shredder), with whom, of course, the turtles will engage in a deadly battle.
The film's content almost completely follows the comic book storyline, which is sure to please fans. April and Casey Jones, played by the well-known Elias Kotes, perfectly complement the overall picture. Special thanks to the actors ‘in armor’, as well as the cinematographer and costume designers for their excellent work.
The highlight of the film, in my opinion, is the almost complete absence of computer graphics. Nowadays, it's hard to imagine making a film about two-meter-tall talking turtles without using special effects, but they used to be able to do it, and they did! And in this case, it turned out very well indeed.
