What the film has going for it is a dynamic and interesting plot. Jackie Chan certainly brings “flavor” to the film, broadens the circle of interested viewers, and adds stunt moments. At the same time, we have a pretty good police detective story with a plot line, unexpected twists and, most importantly, dynamics. I won't argue that the storyline involving the daughter of the deceased partner, the meeting after 20 years, etc. seems naive, just as Shadow's abilities seem exaggerated at times. However, overall, this does not affect the plot and does not take up much screen time.

Conclusion: A good, action-packed thriller starring Jackie Chan. It will appeal to both his fans and those who simply enjoy fast-paced detective stories.
