The movie is old, but the issues, for the most part, remain the same. To be honest, it felt like I’d seen a plot like this somewhere before—a gang that supposedly came together for the greater good, but ends up spiraling out of control. And the kids start taking the law into their own hands—deciding who to punish, who to forgive, and who to take revenge on... The theme is still relevant and interesting to this day.
I’m sure everyone already knows how it ends—it’s predictable, and there are no surprises to be had. But the movie is still worth watching—it’s not dragged out and it’s thought-provoking.
What I liked most were the actors, who were young and unknown back then—specifically Keanu Reeves and Kiefer Sutherland. To be honest, I liked Kiefer Sutherland’s performance much more—he’s an excellent actor! I was also happy to see a young Billy Zane (best known, most likely, for Titanic)—an unexpected surprise that didn’t disappoint at all, but rather delighted me. And I was also thrilled by Lori Loughlin—back then still a young brunette actress. I didn’t even recognize her at first—she’s changed a lot over time (if only because she dyed her hair blonde).
All in all, the film is worth watching because of the relevance of the topic and Kiefer Sutherland.
