Andrew Dornan, a wealthy elderly businessman, is found dead in his mansion. The circumstances of his death raise suspicions: the investigation concludes that the cause was a heart attack triggered by excessive sexual arousal. The prime suspect is Rebecca Carlson (Madonna) a young, mysterious, and incredibly alluring woman with whom the deceased spent his final days.

Renowned attorney Bill Hale (Willem Dafoe) takes on Rebecca’s defense. As they delve deeper into the case, a dangerous passion ignites between the lawyer and his client. Rebecca candidly recounts her intimate encounters with the victim, blurring the line between court testimony and erotic fantasies. The closer Hale gets to solving the case, the more deeply he becomes entangled in his client’s game, where every confession could serve as both evidence against her and the key to her freedom.
