Of course, the 1975 film with Alain Delon is not entirely original, before that there was a series, but the version of Zorro-Delon is the most famous, it is very exciting and interesting and the painting "Mask of Zorro" did not spoil the impression. Heroes of a cloak and a sword, fighters for honor, brave and fair, have been loved at all times, very often they are used in cinema - Scarlet George, Fanfan-Tulip, Kartush, Black Tulip. Therefore, the topic is a win-win, but the statement may fail. But Martin Campbell shot a very competent picture, using a fresh idea based on a familiar story.

The film was shot very beautifully, it is saturated with the spirit of adventurism. Spectacular landscapes backed by real wild western music by James Horner. Superheroes from the past have real magic to attract the audience, their beliefs are built on moral principles, honor, courage. If you fight, then to the end, honestly, with a sword, if you love, then to the last breath, with all the passion and tenderness. It is a pity that they were replaced by Batman and Superman, who became only an object of mass consumption. And this film still holds the old school of superhero movie.
