An excellent melodramatic film, which, in my opinion, has both minor flaws and many advantages.

I watched it (maybe even a couple of times) several years ago - I won't say that I really liked it. The last viewing made a rather positive impression. Probably, with age, an understanding of the beauty of the picture came.

True, it is impossible not to note a couple of negative nuances that have struck me before. This is the inadequacy of the protagonist, whose logic of actions seemed strange to me. Well, the torn rhythm is not very suitable for the film: there are a lot of sagging, a periodic change in the pace of the narration, etc.

Otherwise, the "history of a sports agent at the crossroads of life" is quite pleasing to the eye and hearing. What contributes to the wonderful emotional actors. Cruz, Zellweger, Gooding in the main roles and many actors (starting from the sister of the heroine performed by Bonnie Hunt and ending with the cutest kid) - in the secondary.

All this was filmed at an excellent (inherent to Janusz Kaminsky) level. The musical accompaniment is most pleasant. Pleased with the presence of comic moments, as well as constantly relevant inserts with replicas of the mentor of our hero.

A storm of emotions (and not only among the actors) caused a football match and everything that was connected with it. Family values are promoted very skillfully!
