Tom Holland and Mads Mikkelsen - these are the names that grabbed my attention when choosing a movie in a cinema. It is worth noting that in my head these people are associated with completely different genres: Mads is something more tragic, deadly and with intellectual humor, while Holland is an entertaining movie, funny, not overloaded with complex storylines.
In principle, these associations were only confirmed in the film. The appearance of Mads always thickened the atmosphere of the film, inflamed it, forcing lightning to fly between the characters. Holland discharged it, all the funny moments of the film are connected only with his hero. For me, the bunch of these dissimilar actors into a single whole was really cool - they looked amazingly harmonious during hiding for almost 2 hours of film
Of the advantages, I want to note the storyline, which threw questions into the air and gave answers to them when it was needed. On the downside, not all answers were received. 'Bondarchuk's guns', as Bazhenov says, is the scourge of this film - so many storylines could be turned into stunning triggers that pulled the audience into a kaleidoscope of events - but they remained 'Bondarchuk's guns': the story of the indigenous inhabitants of the planet, the parents of the protagonist and much more. they were simply left behind the scenes, these things were touched by the edge of consciousness and left to their own devices, which spoiled the overall impression. As well as the main question - if you can 'create' everything you think about, why do the heroes hardly use it?
The graphics are, of course, an indisputable plus of the film - they did not skimp on it and made it with high quality and taste. Actually, nothing else was expected from the creator of the 'Edge of the Future'.
