Scooby Doe has always been one of my favorite cartoon characters. Detective stories of friends always watched with interest not only children but also adults, so it is not surprising that after a couple of not the most successful film adaptations we saw a kind of return to the roots. Someone wanted it, and someone on the contrary, remembering the experience of duck stories was afraid, but somehow it happened.
Footage
I can not say that I really liked the idea of combining the cartoon about the investigation with fiction, and even more so with the presence of a superhero, but in the context of the idea of the importance of friendship, which try to explain to children, everything looks good enough.
The big picture.
Well, in direct terms, is the cartoon... good? It's not great, no, but it's pretty good. What's very pleasing is the many references to a classic cartoon, including almost frame representation of the screen saver, reference to scooby snacks and so on.
Probably the only really new and interesting detail of the cartoon - the prequel, in which we get acquainted with the whole team. It came out very good, soulful.
The heroes remained the same, and even the new animation could not (fortunately!) change it. The animation itself looks nice enough if you compare it to what it used to be and imagine what could have been. Looking at it all, you immediately realize that the cartoon does not reach the rank of 'Coco's Mystery', 'Puzzles' or 'Cold Heart', where animators carefully recreate even the smallest details.
The new Scooby Doo came out very childish. It is immediately clear who is the villain and who is the good one, there are no ambiguous jokes, and most importantly, he carries a good message. It's not exactly what we are used to, but such a rethinking is quite possible. When watching it, you can both laugh and really empathize with the destinies of the main characters.
