Japan is a country that has always lived by contemplation, as if it is returning to the European past and reminding us of the values that we have lost. Studying lies, betrayal, anger, the Japanese accurately notice their nature and display them on the screen. All this delights, makes you think, and only after the last frames do you realize that this whole fairy tale was just an advertisement for a new game in the Final Fantasy series. I want to either howl, or revise the film, or wait for the game and play it, if there are also many soulful things there.
The fairy tale told to us in The King's Sword (Kingsglaive) amazes with animation, directorial work, but even more so that it is exactly a fairy tale. Magic and kind. Let's remember, how many modern cartoons of recent years have told us about honest girls who were committed to the vow of their betrothal? I don't remember one. How many cartoons in recent years have told us about loyalty to the ruler (government) and their power? I don't remember a single one. In this regard, Kingsglaive compares favorably with other animation, returning us the ideas of true humanity and true nobility.
As for the graphics, music, voice acting, directing, everything is as always in the 'Final' - higher than the rest. The only exceptions are Hayao Miyazaki's works, however, they are performed exclusively in the style of manga, while the 'Final' is always created in the spirit of the American 3D blockbuster. So, Kingsglaive is another standard of the genre, released in the Japanese Chamber of Weights and Measures. A cartoon rich in spiritual values, difficulties of choice, life situations, mistakes and their awareness. A film rich in fantasy, magic, nobility, honor and kindness. Recommended for viewing.
