It seems to me that everyone has seen this film. It was impossible not to see it. It's a pure classic. It's the most famous Robin Hood movie, although probably as many have been made as the Musketeers.
Kevin Costner hasn't played like that anywhere else, and he's unlikely to play it again. It is impossible not to fall in love with him. His Robin Hood is incomparable. He is kind, handsome, brave, clever. He's a real man.
Another actor I'd like to single out is Alan Rickman and Michael Wincott. They've done a superb job as the villains. You don't see that kind of harmony. And then there's Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. A real English lady.
I would also like to mention the atmosphere, the setting. They add many, many pluses to this film.
And, of course, the music. It became just as classic as the movie.
You just have to see this movie if you haven't seen it yet. They make movies like this once every decade.
