As you know, Ronin is a samurai of medieval Japan who has lost his lord. In this film, everything is similar to reality. The mercenary 'ronins' who have lost their 'masters' carry out dangerous assignments. Once again, they are given the task of intercepting a briefcase before the terrorists, the contents of which no one knows. This is where it all begins...
In my opinion, the film came out just brilliant. It is a combination of an action movie and a thriller. The scriptwriter did his best to create a work full of chases, shootings and murders, that is what all action movies are notable. Of course, most of the plot is about terrorism and the aftermath of the Cold War, creating tension for the viewer. But, in fact, that is the main theme of the film. How tough the world has become since the Cold War! The film's soundtrack is top notch: the film even won an award for best musical accompaniment. The director didn't let me down either: he showed his film-making skills well. Those who play the secret mercenaries of 'Ronin' are very famous and experienced actors. The main ones are Robert De Niro and Jean Reno. They are perfect in their acting abilities, and here they have proved it once again. They are the ones who draw the most events in the movie, though the other actors are not inferior to them.
The verdict: a great movie from the late 90's. If only there were more films like this in the career of everyone who starred in it, their popularity would not decrease. I advise all lovers of the genre to watch this film.
