Moon 4K 2009

David Bowie's son Duncan is the man who is responsible for this film. Otherwise, there is not much to say here – Sam Rockwell is the only actor in this sci-fi movie. For the independent production, in which Sam Rockwell struggles with loneliness and his own identity as a maintenance worker on the lunar surface, nominations and prizes were hailed, while viewers and critics also agreed that Moon was a small science fiction masterpiece Duncan Jones that made him a new director's hope overnight. Loving Duncan for about a year or two now after plodding along with his father for years, Moon was OK but felt lacking next to George Lucas. Moon always appears to the viewer as an echo of great genre classics like 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien or Blade Runner. Sam Rockwell is the greatest strength of the film, especially as it conveys an amazing variety of emotions such as anger and sadness. It is difficult for the viewer to bear how this character is gradually broken up by the isolation and perfidious play of its client.
