The tale of a remote small island, which is plunged into the abyss of mysterious events: then on the shore to carry tons of dead fish, then from the sky to the ground dead birds fall to the ground - vozmozhnost animal arranged a mass suicide. And one day a fisherman of one family goes to the sea on a yacht in the middle of the night and disappears for no reason. It is the family of this fisherman and affects the unknown evil, more and more pulling into the maelstrom of supernatural phenomena ...

Fantastic thriller with a horror idea took part in the Fantasia 2020 film festival and even then I was intrigued by its description. The film is low-budget, but it is shot qualitatively: professional angles, color correction, and the actors perform their tasks.

Throughout the entire timeline we watch the metamorphoses that occur with the main character Andrew, while at the same time being under psychological pressure from his loved ones. Family drama, squabbles and misunderstandings add problems to an already difficult situation.

The director drops hints that all evil comes from the bottom of the sea, but does it? Is Andrew going crazy, or is he hallucinating on the background of his rampant alcoholism, and maybe all this devilry is really happening or the island is enveloped by an unknown deadly virus? The finale skillfully turns the story around, giving out answers to all the questions and logically drawing a line.

If without spoilers, the main message of the tape is contained in the mother's phrase to her daughter about her work: to catch fish, to study, to conduct experiments, and then most of them released alive back to the wild - it's all for the good. This very phrase will be heard again at the end of the movie, but it will not look so harmless and noble, giving food for thought.

Moral: if dead birds start falling from the sky in droves, then you should organize a flash mob in return and launch a hundred or two dead human carcasses into the sky - let the feathered ones be surprised too.

As a result, gradually gaining momentum movie, imbued with mysticism and gloomy atmosphere, although not a masterpiece, but the evening will definitely brighten up the fans of mysterious phenomena.
