Den of Thieves 2: Pantera 4K 2025

I'm a big fan of the first movie so I couldn't miss the sequel. The director is the same, Butler and O'Shea are back on screen too, as we remember at the end of the first movie Donny and his crew went to London to get closer to the diamond exchange, leaving Big Nick without a catch from the reserve fund for which all of Maryman's crew died. Overall the movie starts off well, a well thought out heist, a brilliant execution and a competent getaway. Further we are introduced to a new team and this is perhaps the first disadvantage, in comparison with the first part, where there was a team of pros from former soldiers, here we are shown Albanian militants, a Serb, a girl-model-sportswoman and some IT guy. Where Donny's team went and how he found them is not explained to us.

Gerard Butler's line of motivation is very lame, revenge? Put away? Earn money? Get reinstated? Or can't you win - lead? There are gaps left in this plan.

The most tangible failure is the introduction of a former cop in the team of thieves, simply and without much tension, I'm with you now so we'll be friends ...

Dialogues are boring and as short as possible, you will have no sympathy or empathy for any character. There were a couple of cameos of popular fighters (Belfort, Gan and Verhoeven), I do not know why, but apparently to attract an audience.

Enjoyed the location, namely Nice with its azure coast, the picture is juicy, pleasant under the electronic soundtrack in the style of house, you can see that filming there are expensive, so no chases and shootouts in the spirit of the first part (especially with the collectors) to expect the audience should not.

Summarizing the review I will say that expectations were not justified from the word completely, the cool robbery did not see, the team of thieves forgotten already on the way out of the hall, and the open ending for the third part does not inspire in any way.
