I waited a long time for this release. So long that I forgot to watch it when the movie came out.
This is a movie I highly recommend watching, however, I will be very careful with my review. One unnecessary word and I will ruin your intrigue and perception. And here, words are unnecessary. This movie should be unwrapped like a Kinder-surprise: first the foil, then the chocolate ... and the toy. But to find out if the toy will meet your expectations, you'll have to watch it through. It's easy, two hours will fly by like ten minutes. I felt like I didn't blink throughout the entire movie, and one of my friends fried the eggs she intended to boil. The implication, I think, is clear.
Although the subject matter of the movie is very touchy, if it wasn't for other positive aspects like the actors, I wouldn't have taken it. But after watching it, I realized that the crew here is almost cooler than the main pair of actors, because... how was it possible to film this so mesmerizing, so unobtrusive, so enticing with understatement? How could you make this largely ugly story so beautiful?
Enjoy it, and quite possibly you will, like me, rewind it endlessly until you get a better look at everything you didn't fully see the first time around.
