Sometimes road works can lead to the most unexpected, terrifying, and extraordinary consequences. This was confirmed by road workers from Russia who accidentally discovered a mysterious underground crypt. Their wicked curiosity brought Evil and its bloodthirsty incarnation back to life.
The film ‘Dracula's Dog’ was shot in 1978 by the famous American trash filmmaker Albert Band. The film has nothing to do with Bram Stoker's vampire stories, but it can still boast of Frank Ray Perilli's original screenplay, as the main character and the main source of evil in the film is the vampire dog Zoltan, which makes the film somewhat unusual. Overall, the film is shot by cinematographer Bruce Logan in a fairly interesting and vivid manner, the horror is skillfully built up, and the scenes of violence are not overly graphic. It can be said that the film is tastefully shot and brings a slight variety to the sparse vampire theme.
The actors in the film are very convincing. Actor Michael Pataki did a great job playing Michael Drake, brilliantly conveying his character's metamorphosis. Very colorful characters were also played in the film by Jan Shutan (Marla Drake), Reggie Nalder (Wade Smith), and Tom Gerrard (Maslov).
The soundtrack, written by composer Andrew Belling, perfectly suited the film, enveloping it and creating suspense.
I recommend this little-known horror film, which I saw in my distant childhood, to all fans of classic horror and original trash, and I think the film will not disappoint you and will be as memorable as it was for me.
